The WA Ecosystem Navigator is a free, open platform that maps Western Australia's innovation and entrepreneurial support ecosystem — helping founders find support, and helping the ecosystem make better decisions.
A searchable platform mapping the organisations, programs, funding opportunities, and services that support entrepreneurs and innovators across Western Australia.
Whether you're a first-time founder looking for an accelerator, a researcher exploring commercialisation pathways, or an established business seeking export support — the Navigator helps you find what's available and what's relevant to you.
Search and discover the support programs, grants, workspaces, and resources available in WA's innovation ecosystem. QuokkaBot, our AI support finder, can help match you with the right opportunities based on your stage, sector, and needs.
Access data and insights on the shape of WA's innovation ecosystem. Understand where gaps and opportunities exist, track ecosystem health over time, and make more informed decisions about resource allocation and strategy.
Who builds and maintains the Navigator.
The WA Ecosystem Navigator is developed and maintained by Meshpoints, a Lotterywest-funded program operated by Spacecubed that strengthens Western Australia's innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Since 2021, Meshpoints has worked to connect, coordinate, and support the organisations and communities that help WA founders succeed. The Navigator is one of several tools and initiatives Meshpoints provides to improve ecosystem connectivity and enable data-informed decision-making across the state.
The platform was originally launched in 2023 as the WA Ecosystem Index. Drawing on three years of community feedback, it has been rebuilt from the ground up as the WA Ecosystem Navigator — with significantly improved functionality, performance, and new features including the QuokkaBot AI support finder.
The Navigator aggregates information from a range of publicly available and user-contributed sources to build a comprehensive picture of WA's innovation ecosystem.
We collect information that organisations have made publicly available through their websites, blogs, press releases, media articles, social media profiles, and other public channels. If you've published it, we may reference it.
We integrate with trusted third-party data providers and APIs to enrich profiles with information such as industry classifications, company details, funding data, and program listings.
Organisations and individuals can provide information directly to us — whether through partnerships, data-sharing agreements, surveys, or other collaborative channels. We always handle contributed data in accordance with any agreed terms.
Users who claim their profile can directly update and enrich their own information, ensuring it remains accurate and up to date. Claimed profiles give organisations control over how they appear on the platform.
We take reasonable steps to ensure the information on the platform is accurate and current. However, because much of our data is sourced from public channels that change over time, we encourage organisations to claim their profile to keep their information up to date. If you spot something that's incorrect, please let us know and we'll fix it promptly.
The Navigator stores structured information about the organisations, activities, and programs that shape Western Australia's innovation ecosystem.
We store profiles for the entities that make up WA's innovation ecosystem, broadly grouped into two types:
The organisations that help entrepreneurs and innovators succeed. These include accelerators, incubators, coworking spaces, government programs, grant bodies, mentoring networks, industry associations, advisory services, universities, and research institutions.
The startups, scaleups, and businesses operating within the ecosystem. These are the organisations being supported — whether they're pre-revenue founders, high-growth startups, or established companies engaged in innovation.
For both types, we typically store information such as name, description, category, sector, stage, location, region, website, contact details, social media links, and logo.
We track the activities and milestones associated with organisations in the ecosystem. These build a timeline of an organisation's journey and its connections across the broader support landscape.
We track the cohorts and participants of accelerators, incubators, and other structured support programs. This allows us to understand who is being supported, and to analyse the makeup of program cohorts across a range of dimensions — helping ecosystem leaders identify gaps in access and representation.
We aggregate anonymised data points that help measure the health and growth of WA's innovation ecosystem over time — such as active startup counts, sector distribution, founder demographics, regional coverage, and growth trends. These indicators support data-informed decision-making for ecosystem leaders and policymakers.
The Navigator stores some funding-related information where it relates to an organisation's activities (such as grants received or funding rounds). However, comprehensive funding and investment data is not a primary function of this platform. For detailed startup funding and deal data in Western Australia, we recommend the state-sponsored wa.dealroom.co, provided by the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification (DEED).
Where we hold information about individuals (such as founder names associated with a company), this is limited to what is already publicly available or has been provided to us directly. We do not collect sensitive personal information. Individuals can request that their personal information be removed or made private at any time — see the Privacy section below.
If your organisation or program appears on the WA Ecosystem Navigator, you can take control of your listing through our profile claiming process.
Verify your identity and take ownership of your organisation's listing. Once claimed, you can update your information, add details, and ensure your profile accurately represents what you offer.
Add programs, services, events, and other details that might not yet appear on the platform. Help entrepreneurs find you by keeping your listing comprehensive and current.
Claiming your profile is free and ensures that the ecosystem has accurate, up-to-date information about the support available to WA's founders and innovators. It also helps you reach the people who are actively looking for what you offer.
If your organisation supports entrepreneurs or innovators in Western Australia and you're not yet on the Navigator, you can submit your details for inclusion. We review all submissions to ensure they're relevant to the WA innovation ecosystem.
We respect your right to control how your information appears on the platform. If you or your organisation are listed on the Navigator, you have the following options:
Request that your profile or specific information be hidden from public view. Your data will be retained but will not be visible to other users of the platform.
Ask us to remove your information from the platform entirely. We will process removal requests promptly and confirm once completed.
If any information about you or your organisation is inaccurate, you can request corrections or claim your profile to update it yourself.
Request a copy of the information we hold about you or your organisation. We will provide this in a reasonable timeframe.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address provided below. We aim to respond to all privacy-related requests within 14 business days.
